The Senior Lab Specialist (Scientist I) is responsible for providing new test methods for Microelectronics filters developments. You will use your acquired experience and knowledge of the semiconductor industry to be the technical leg of a triad, that includes Marketing and Sales. This position is part of the Taiwan Scientific and Laboratory Services (SLS) team and will be in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Together you will work with our SLS and R&D to recommend or develop filtration test method that meet the requirements of semiconductor world. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Develop test methods for nm size particle removal efficiency and trace level extractable detection regarding filtration, separation, and purification of Microelectronics application. Lead and direct the test plans to drive the resolution of uncertain problems by applying advanced analytical thought and judgment. Write and propose new test methods to internal stakeholders. Collect and report VOC about filter performance test gaps and requirements for next generation processes. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field 5+ years of work experience in semiconductor industry (Fabs (IDM), Materials Suppliers, Process Equipment Manufacturers (OEM)) Knowledge of a process module (Photolithography, Wet Etch/Cleans, Dry Etch, CMP) in the semiconductor manufacturing process. Understanding of on-wafer defect and material characterization techniques. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field Working knowledge of or experience in filtration for Microelectronics related materials or processes
